Founded in 1889 Wearwell was one of British cycling's best known names, producing bikes by the tens of thousands and sending its racing team to some of the biggest races on the continent. In 1953, Wearwell Cycles won the Tour of Britain and sent its victorious riders to compete in the Tour de France as part of the first ever British team.
In 2017, after a 40 year hiatus, the Wearwell Cycle Company returned as a maker of high quality cycle clothing and accessories.
