Close to 65 years have passed since the Wearwell Cycle Team, pictured above, stormed to victory in the 1953 Tour of Britain. Whilst the jerseys may no longer be made of thick wool, helmets are mandatory and the bicycles have swapped steel for carbon-fibre, there's no denying that they looked the part. And boy could they ride.
We love everything about these local lads and their kit, so we’ve taken the best bits of Wearwell’s past and brought them bang up to date with the latest materials and design on the market. Once upon a time comfort and style were something to be sacrificed in the name of performance, but not any more. With the revival range both comfort, style and performance are guaranteed.
The Revival Jersey is a modern re-interpretation of a classic. The iconic jersey worn by the 1953 Wearwell Racing Team on their way to victory in the Tour of Britain acts as the inspiration for the design constructed using the very latest technical fabrics and highest quality seamsmanship in order to maximise comfort without compromising performance.
Like its predecessor 60 years before, the Revival Jersey – launching with a choice of black or white - pairs the striking Wearwell logo with a bold band across the chest and is packed full of details – all focused on helping the rider look fast and ride faster.
The Wearwell Revival bib-shorts are a timeless piece - designed to meet the needs of those who do serious miles on the bike. Jet black in colour and made using the best quality fabrics on the market – the Revival bib-shorts cut no corners in their pursuit of excellence.
A complementary range of British-made socks and a selection of caps, armwarmers and bottles completes the historic Revival Collection.
